in time for Halloween and immediately making a big impact. This horror movie was a smash hit in theaters, so it’s no surprise that it’s climbing the charts on HBO Max. In just three days, Weapons has knocked Superman out of the top spot and is now reigning supreme on the streaming platform. It’s even more popular than any other movie available on HBO Max, according to FlixPatrol.

Weapons has grabbed the attention of audiences around the globe and is currently the top movie on HBO Max in 63 countries. It’s scored an impressive 620 points on FlixPatrol, surpassing even last year’s Oscar-winning body horror film, The Substance, which sits at #2. It’s clear that horror movies are having their moment on HBO Max, with I Know What You Did Last Summer and All Fun and Games following closely behind the top two films.

Superman may be a superhero, but even he couldn’t withstand the scare-factor of Weapons. The Man of Steel now finds himself at #5 worldwide, sandwiched between other horror films like IT and Barbarian. As Halloween draws closer, these spooky movies may climb even higher in the rankings, potentially pushing Superman out of the top 10 entirely.

In the world of streaming entertainment, even a superhero like Superman can’t compete with the thrills and chills of a hit horror movie like Weapons. So if you’re looking for some spooky entertainment to get you in the Halloween spirit, give Weapons a watch on HBO Max—it’s sure to send shivers down your spine!
