Task Finale Draws 4 Million Viewers in 3 Days

“Task” is really making waves with viewers! The finale of this drama series created by Brad Ingelsby and starring Mark Ruffalo and Tom Pelphrey drew in an impressive 4 million viewers in the U.S. during its first three days across various platforms.

Not only did the finale match the high viewership of the penultimate episode, but it also saw a 32% increase from the premiere, which initially brought in 3.1 million viewers. This boost helped “Task” secure a spot among the top 5 HBO series debuts in platform history.

According to HBO, “Task” now ranks in the top 3 of HBO’s fastest-growing first seasons ever. Leading up to the finale, the series added 1.5 million global viewers. The premiere episode has already tallied 11.2 million U.S. viewers and was the number one title across HBO Max last week.

On the lighter side of things, “The Chair Company” is also seeing substantial audience growth, averaging 2.1 million viewers. This is more than double the viewership of previous comedies on the network, like “Somebody Somewhere” and “The Rehearsal.” While “The Chair Company” hasn’t hit the average viewership of “The Righteous Gemstones” just yet, which averaged 2.3 million viewers, it’s still making its mark.

After debuting to 1.4 million U.S. cross-platform viewers, the first episode of “The Chair Company” brought in 1.5 million viewers for its second episode. Overall, the first episode has now reached 2.7 million U.S. viewers, making it the top HBO comedy debut on the platform.

If you’re a fan of “The Chair Company,” be sure to catch new episodes premiering Sundays at 10 p.m. ET/PT. It’s definitely a show that’s gaining some serious traction!
