Amazon unveils enhanced Luna game streaming service

Amazon recently announced updates to its game streaming service, Amazon Luna, including a new collection of beginner-friendly multiplayer games that can be controlled with your phone. Luna is now free for Prime members.

The standout addition to Luna is GameNight, a selection of over 25 local multiplayer games intended to bring friends and family closer in the living room. This collection features exclusive titles from Amazon Game Studios, such as “Courtroom Chaos: Starring Snoop Dogg,” an AI voice-driven courtroom game filled with improv and wild stories in front of Judge Snoop Dogg.

In addition to this unique title, GameNight includes games like “Angry Birds Flock Party,” “Draw & Guess,” “The Jackbox Party Pack 9,” and “Clue,” among others. Amazon is aiming to make Luna the go-to choice for hangouts and game nights by providing a library of multiplayer games that can be played with smartphones.

Jeff Gattis, the general manager of Amazon Luna, expressed that GameNight enhances Luna’s accessibility by providing fun and engaging games that shine when played with others. The idea is to make gaming enjoyable for everyone, regardless of their gaming background.

Moreover, Luna users can access new games like “Hogwarts Legacy,” “Indiana Jones and the Great Circle,” “Kingdom Come: Deliverance II,” and “TopSpin 2K25,” in addition to popular classics and indie games. These titles, along with all other Luna games, require a controller or keyboard and mouse to play.

For a broader selection of games, Luna Premium, formerly known as Luna+, is available for $9.99 per month. Luna Premium offers titles like “EA SPORTS FC 25,” “Star Wars Jedi: Survivor,” and “Batman: Arkham Knight,” catering to a wide range of gaming preferences.
