HBO Max Global Expansion Reaches 100 Markets, Includes New Launches in Asia Pacific

HBO Max, Warner Bros. Discovery’s popular streaming service, has now expanded into 15 new markets, bringing its total to over 100 countries worldwide. Exciting new territories include Bangladesh, Cambodia, Macau, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Ukraine. This move is all part of Warner Bros. Discovery’s plan to reach 150 million subscribers globally by 2026. As of June 30, the platform already boasted an impressive 125.7 million subscribers.

One of the most anticipated releases on HBO Max is “It: Welcome to Derry,” scheduled to premiere on Oct. 26 (Oct. 27 in Asia Pacific regions). This new drama, set in Stephen King’s “It” universe, has been developed for television by Andy Muschietti, Barbara Muschietti, and Jason Fuchs. Subscribers can also look forward to a lineup of hit movies coming to the service soon, including M3GAN 2.0, Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning, How To Train Your Dragon, and Weapons.

Viewers in these newly launched markets will have access to a treasure trove of content, from HBO and Max Originals to beloved franchises like Harry Potter, the DC Universe, Warner Bros., and Discovery. TV favorites like “Game of Thrones,” “House of the Dragon,” “The Last of Us,” “The Penguin,” and “The Pitt” are available. Movie buffs can enjoy films such as Superman, A Minecraft Movie, and complete collections of “Harry Potter,” “The Lord of the Rings,” and “The Matrix.” Documentaries like “Deadliest Catch” and “Gold Rush” cater to fans of factual entertainment, while children can enjoy shows like “Tom and Jerry,” “The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball,” and “Looney Tunes.”
