Yellowstone’s The Madison Season 2 Renewal Announced Months Before Season 1 Premiere

The Yellowstone universe is about to get even bigger with the upcoming spin-off, The Madison, which has already been renewed for a second season, even before the first season has aired. Created by Taylor Sheridan, this new series is set to premiere in late 2025 or early 2026, and will follow a new family moving from New York to Montana.

The star-studded cast of The Madison includes Michelle Pfeiffer, Patrick J. Adams from Suits, Matthew Fox, and Beau Garrett. With multiple spin-offs already planned, The Madison is expected to be another hit for Paramount+ following the success of Yellowstone’s predecessor series, 1883 and 1923.

Paramount+ has shown a lot of confidence in Taylor Sheridan, with Cindy Holland, Paramount’s Chair of Direct-to-Consumer, praising him as the cornerstone of the platform’s programming. CEO David Ellison also described Sheridan as a “singular genius with a perfect track record.”

The upcoming season of The Madison will be filmed, in part, at Sheridan’s production facility in Texas. This early renewal of the show further solidifies Yellowstone as Paramount’s most profitable franchise, despite Kevin Costner’s character, John Dutton, leaving the original series.

Fans can look forward to not only a fresh perspective on ranch life as a city family adjusts to life in rural Montana, but also the continuation of the saga of the fan-favorite Dutton family. In addition to The Madison, three more Yellowstone spin-offs are in development, with hints of a potential secret fifth project on the horizon.

While details have been scarce about the Four Sixes Ranch spin-off and the 1944 prequel, other projects, such as Y: Marshals featuring Luke Grimes as Kayce Dutton, and series starring Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser as Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler, are moving forward and expected to be released in the near future.

A new series called Rio Palo, reportedly set in the Yellowstone universe but with all new characters, has also begun filming in Ferris, Texas. This new installment may bring some surprises, so fans will want to stay tuned for more information.
