Apple TV+ Renews ‘Slow Horses’ for Season 7
Apple TV+ has exciting news for fans of the show Slow Horses – it has been renewed for Season 7! The announcement comes just before the premiere of Season 5 on September 24th. If you haven’t checked it out yet, Slow Horses is a dark comedy featuring Gary Oldman as Jackson Lamb, the leader of a group of British intelligence agents. In the upcoming season, the team will be unraveling the mystery surrounding Roddy Ho’s “glamorous new girlfriend.”
Inspired by Mick Herron’s Slough House book series, Slow Horses has been a hit with audiences worldwide. It was given the green light for Season 6 last October. Apple TV+ executive Jay Hunt shared, “Slow Horses has won fans all over the world with its unique mix of self-deprecating British humor and high-octane action. I’m thrilled that viewers will get another season to enjoy Gary’s brilliant portrayal of Jackson Lamb and the team’s slightly clumsy spy tactics.”
In Season 7, Jackson Lamb and his Slow Horses will be on a mission to uncover and eliminate a mole within the heart of the British Government before they can cause any harm to the state. The show features a talented cast including Jack Lowden, Saskia Reeves, Rosalind Eleazar, Samuel West, Aimee-Ffion Edwards, Ruth Bradley, Tom Brooke, Joanna Scanlan, and Jonathan Pryce.
Slow Horses already has an Emmy under its belt, winning for “Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series” in 2024 and receiving nominations in four other categories. It’s a show worth checking out if you’re a fan of thrilling, British humor mixed with a touch of drama.
