Lee Dong-wook and Lee Sung-kyung Star in New K-drama “The Nice Guy”

South Korean actors Lee Dong-wook and Lee Sung-kyung are teaming up in the upcoming crime drama “The Nice Guy,” set to premiere on July 18. The drama, consisting of 14 episodes, was announced by Disney+ Korea, with Ryu Hye-young and Oh Na-ra also joining the cast.

“The Nice Guy” follows the story of Park Seok-cheol (Lee Dong-wook), the eldest grandson of a family of gangsters who aspires to become an author despite his violent background. Alongside him is Kang Mi-young (Lee Sung-kyung), his first love who dreams of becoming a singer but struggles with stage fright.

The drama, directed by Song Hae-sung and Park Hong-soo, started production last year and completed filming by August, according to South Korean media reports. Lee Dong-wook is known for his roles in popular series like “My Girl,” “Goblin,” and “Tale of the Nine-Tailed,” while Lee Sung-kyung transitioned from modeling to acting, starring in hits like “Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo.”
