Hugo Weaving to Reprise Villain Role in Season Five of Slow Horses
If you enjoyed the latest season of Slow Horses on Apple TV+, get excited because Hugo Weaving is returning to the show for another season. Weaving shared the news while attending the International Film Festival of India in Goa. He will once again play the villainous spy-turned-mercenary Frank Harkness in Season 5 of Slow Horses. Filming is set to begin in London in January and will continue for two and a half months.
In the world of Slow Horses, each season is inspired by a book but also takes a unique direction from the source material. As Weaving mentioned, the show is quickly catching up to the number of books Mick Herron has penned. In the previous season, Weaving made a striking debut as Frank Harkness, a rogue former CIA intelligence officer who carries out dark operations with his team of ex-operatives. The fourth season saw Harkness targeting former MI6 head David Cartwright, leading to intense drama among the characters.
Fans of Slow Horses were left wanting more as the season wrapped up without a major face-off between Harkness and Jackson Lamb, played by Gary Oldman. Hopefully, the upcoming season will deliver the showdown viewers have been waiting for. Slow Horses is available for streaming on Apple TV+. If you’re a fan of gripping spy dramas, this series is a must-watch.
