Julianne Moore, Meghann Fahy, Milly Alcock to Star in Netflix’s New Series ‘Sirens’
Netflix has announced the cast for its new limited series “Sirens,” with Julianne Moore, Meghann Fahy, and Milly Alcock set to lead the show. The dark comedy series, created by Molly Smith Metzler and Margot Robbie’s LuckyChap banner, will follow Fahy and Alcock as sisters who become entangled in the world of a wealthy socialite portrayed by Moore.
Additionally, Netflix revealed that Nicole Kassell, known for her work on “Watchmen” and “The Americans,” will direct the first two episodes of “Sirens” and serve as an executive producer for the series.
The plot of “Sirens” revolves around Devon (Fahy) becoming concerned about her sister Simone’s (Alcock) unsettling relationship with the enigmatic socialite Michaela Kell (Moore). The series will explore themes of women, power, and class over the course of a dramatic weekend at The Kells’ luxurious beach estate.
Based on Metzler’s play “Elemeno Pea,” which she wrote during her time at Juilliard, “Sirens” marks the first project from her overall deal with Netflix following the success of “Maid,” which garnered strong viewership and three Emmy nominations.
Julianne Moore recently appeared in the Starz drama “Mary and George” alongside Nicholas Galitzine and starred in Netflix’s 2023 film “May December.” Meghann Fahy received critical acclaim for her role in HBO’s “The White Lotus” and will star in Netflix’s upcoming series “The Perfect Couple” with Nicole Kidman and Dakota Fanning. Milly Alcock is recognized for her portrayal of young Rhaenyra in the first season of “House of the Dragon.”
The series will be executive produced by Metzler and Kassell, along with LuckyChap’s Robbie, Dani Gorin, and Tom Ackerley.
