Watch the Marvel special ‘The Punisher: One Last Kill’ – Release date, time, cast

Frank Castle is making a comeback! Jon Bernthal, known for his role as Frank Castle/The Punisher, is back for the fourth time in “The Punisher: One Last Kill,” a special presentation premiering on Disney+ tonight, May 12.

In this special, we’ll see the lethal vigilante on a quest for meaning beyond seeking revenge for the tragic murder of his family, as depicted in Netflix’s “Daredevil” Season 2. However, an unexpected force draws him back into the fray.

Bernthal not only stars in this special but also co-wrote it with director Reinaldo Marcus Green. This isn’t Bernthal’s only writing credit though. He recently co-wrote and starred in the “Gary” prequel titled “The Bear,” which was released on Hulu last week.

The last time viewers saw Castle was in “Daredevil: Born Again” Season 1, which ended in May 2025, with Castle escaping from his cell after teaming up with Daredevil against the Anti-Vigilante Task Force. He was noticeably absent in Season 2 of “Born Again,” so “One Last Kill” is expected to fill in those gaps.

This one-off special will likely set the stage for the upcoming movie “Spider-Man: Brand New Day,” set to be released on July 31. Bernthal will reprise his role as The Punisher in this first theatrical MCU appearance.

“The Punisher: One Last Kill” is set to premiere on Disney+ tonight, May 12, at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT. To watch it, you’ll need a subscription to Disney+, which offers various subscription options depending on your preferences.

The special will run for 44 minutes, not including credits, and stars not only Jon Bernthal but also Jason R. Moore reprising his role as Curtis Hoyle, as well as several other talented actors.

Don’t miss out on this exciting new addition to the Marvel Universe!
