Former PFL Champion Larissa Pacheco Dominates Julia Stasiuk

Larissa Pacheco, a former two-time Professional Fighters League (PFL) champion, had an impressive debut in Karate Combat by defeating Julia Stasiuk in violent fashion at Karate Combat 61 in Miami, Florida. Pacheco wasted no time asserting her dominance in the fight. She aggressively marched Stasiuk down from the opening bell, landing powerful straight rights while Stasiuk tried to counter with spinning attacks. In the first round, Pacheco landed a heavy overhand right that visibly stunned Stasiuk, but the referee allowed the fight to continue.

Shortly after, Pacheco delivered a devastating tomahawk elbow that dropped Stasiuk to the mat, leading to a ground-and-pound finish and a first-round stoppage. It was a brutal and decisive victory for Pacheco. This fight marked Pacheco’s return to action after 18 months, with her last fight being against Cris Cyborg. Additionally, it was her first fight at Bantamweight since 2015, showcasing her versatility as a fighter.

At 31 years old, Pacheco finds herself in an intriguing position in her career. She holds a victory over current UFC champion Kayla Harrison, which could make her a compelling option for the UFC if they consider bringing her back. Pacheco had a brief stint in the UFC from 2014 to 2015, where she went 0-2 before finding success in the PFL, winning titles in two different weight classes.

It remains to be seen if the UFC will show interest in Pacheco again, but her recent performance certainly puts her back on the radar. Only time will tell if we’ll see Pacheco back in the UFC octagon, but based on her recent success, it wouldn’t be surprising to see her competing at the highest level once again.
