United Airlines improves customer experience with new inflight entertainment channel

United Airlines has launched a new inflight entertainment channel dedicated to Peacock, the popular streaming service by NBCUniversal. This move brings a selection of fan-favourite series and original content to passengers on over 160,000 seatback screens and personal devices through the United mobile app. The channel offers a range of shows, with new content being added regularly.

Select episodes available at launch include “The Traitors” (Season 4), “All Her Fault,” “The Paper,” and “Poker Face.” More titles like “The Copenhagen Test” and “Ponies” are expected to roll out in June. Dominic Green, Director of Inflight Entertainment at United Airlines, emphasized the importance of entertainment in enhancing the onboard customer experience. He expressed the airline’s commitment to expanding the quality and variety of available content.

The introduction of the Peacock channel complements United’s existing premium entertainment offerings, which include libraries from Apple TV, HBO Max, A24, and Spotify. The airline boasts a collection of over 450 movies, 1,000 TV episodes, more than 100 international titles, and over 140 hours of podcast content. Passengers on over 800 aircraft can enjoy Bluetooth-enabled seatback screens, and new planes are being equipped with 27-inch, 4K OLED screens.

United Airlines continues to invest in enhancing its inflight entertainment experience, aiming to provide customers with engaging ways to spend their time in the air. With the introduction of the Peacock channel, passengers now have even more options to enjoy their favourite series and discover new content while traveling.
