Gomorrah Origins Series: Popular Sales in Germany and Turkey, Including HBO Max

The prequel to the hit Italian mob series “Gomorrah,” called “Gomorrah – The Origins,” has been a hit, with multiple countries picking up the show. Since its debut on Sky in Italy, Beta Film has sold the six-hour origins series to HBO Max in Germany and Turkey, SBS in Australia, Studiocanal in France, ORF in Austria, TET in Latvia, and Nova in Greece.

Fans of the original “Gomorrah” series will be excited to know that HBO Max Germany has also acquired the rights to the original series and its spin-off movie, “The Immortal.” These titles will be available on HBO Max in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Luxembourg.

Set in the 1970s, “Gomorrah – The Origins” follows the rise of mobster Pietro Savastano, who fans know from the original series. The prequel stars 16-year-old Luca Lubrano as the young Savastano, offering viewers a glimpse into his early years.
