Zach Mander Joins Team at ABC

Zach Mander, previously known from the duo Zach and Dom on B105 and KIIS, has recently been filling in on ABC Brisbane’s Evenings show. Despite the switch from commercial FM radio, Mander seemed comfortable and friendly during his time on air.

It’s a shame that the ABC website didn’t provide any information about Mander or a photo of him, leaving listeners in the dark about who was hosting the show. Even the pre-recorded station IDs still featured Kelly Higgins-Devine’s voice, making it confusing for the audience. A generic station ID could have solved this issue and provided a smoother transition between hosts.

Despite the lack of visuals, an insider at the ABC expressed delight at Mander’s opportunity, calling it a step in the right direction for ABC Brisbane’s succession planning.
