“Dear X” Goes Global: Achieves No.1 Spot on Disney+ Japan

Kim Yoo-jung is really making waves with her latest role as a sociopath on TVING’s original series “Dear X”. According to FlixPatrol, a global OTT ranking platform, the show has been topping charts internationally. In fact, it reached No. 1 on Japan’s Disney+ on November 22 and has stayed strong at No. 2. It also held the top spot for three weeks straight on Viki in the U.S. And that’s not all – HBO Max ranked the show at No. 1 in 17 different countries!

The series is a dark melodramatic thriller that follows Baek Ah-jin, played by Kim Yoo-jung, a young woman with sociopathic tendencies who masquerades behind a perfect facade to become a successful actress. She may look perfect on the outside, but she’s ruthless when it comes to those around her.

New episodes are released every Thursday, with episodes 7 and 8 dropping on November 20. These episodes show rookie actress Ah-jin and top star Heo In-gang, played by Hwang In-youp, entering their second year of dating publicly. However, when In-gang’s grandmother uncovers Ah-jin’s true nature and suddenly passes away, In-gang is plunged into deep shock and grief, ultimately leading to a tragic decision.

The upcoming episodes 9 and 10 of “Dear X” are set to be released on November 27 at 6 p.m. Fans of the show can look forward to seeing how the story unfolds next!
