Samsung TVs to Receive HDR10+ 4K Content on Disney+ and Hulu

Samsung TV owners who are fans of HDR10+ dynamic HDR have a new reason to celebrate. The tech giant has just announced that its line of televisions will be the first ones that can show 4K content streamed from Disney+ and Hulu in HDR10+ dynamic HDR.

Starting this week, Disney+ is rolling out access to over 1,000 titles from Hulu in HDR10+. Additional content from Disney+ and Hulu will also be available in the future. To watch this content in HDR10+, you’ll need to use the Tizen version of the Disney+ app, which is exclusively available on Samsung TVs. If you have HDR10+ supported devices like Panasonic, TCL, and Hisense TVs, you can expect to see this content available on these platforms soon as well.

HDR10+ is a collaborative effort from Samsung, Panasonic, and 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment, now known as 20th Century Home Entertainment under Disney’s ownership.

While Dolby Vision currently holds the majority in the 4K streaming content market, HDR10+ has expanded its reach to more streaming services. As of today, you can experience HDR10+ content on platforms like Disney+, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, Google TV, Megogo, Paramount+, Rakuten, and YouTube. Unfortunately, AppleTV+ and HBO Max are still only providing content in HDR10 or Dolby Vision as of October 2025.

Samsung’s Vice President of Visual Display Business, Inbeom King, stated that HDR10+ delivers enhanced contrast and more vivid colors for an exceptional viewing experience. They are thrilled to bring this technology to Disney+ and continue to work with various partners to broaden HDR10+ support across their product line and the streaming landscape at large.

HDR10+ is a cutting-edge high dynamic range technology that uses dynamic metadata to optimize visual quality scene-by-scene. This means you’ll get to enjoy vivid highlights while preserving eye-catching shadow detail on your screens. If you own a Samsung Crystal UHD TV from 2018 or later, or select Samsung Smart Monitors, you’re in luck. Most 2025 Samsung TVs, including Neo QLED 8K, Neo QLED 4K, OLED, QLED, and Micro RGB TVs, are also compatible with HDR10+ content from Disney+ and Hulu.
