Trevor Saves Hollywood and Marvel in Meta Wonder Man Trailer

If you’ve been missing the days of Trevor Slattery and looking for a break from the usual superhero fare, the trailer for Marvel’s new series, Wonder Man, might just be what you need. Set in a world without capes or multiverses, Wonder Man follows Simon Williams (played by Yahya Abdul-Mateen II) as he enlists the help of former terrorist turned actor, Trevor (played by Ben Kingsley), for his Wonder Man audition. The twist? Wonder Man is an old, cheesy superhero movie being rebooted by the once obscure Zlatko Buric, who fans might recognize as Boravian President Vasil Ghurkos from Superman. “We’re going to make the last movie on Earth,” Buric’s character declares. “No one will have the balls to make another.”

This fresh take on the Marvel Cinematic Universe is a departure from the usual action-packed superhero stories, and it might be just the shake-up the franchise needs. And let’s be honest—who doesn’t want to see more of Trevor on screen?

All eight episodes of Wonder Man will be available for streaming on Disney+ starting January 27th. So mark your calendars and get ready to dive into this quirky, meta twist on the superhero genre.
