Peacock’s Original Docuseries ‘Devil in Disguise’ Explores John Wayne Gacy

Peacock recently hosted the New York premiere of the original crime drama series, “Devil in Disguise: John Wayne Gacy,” and it was quite the event. The screening took place at the DGA New York Theater, followed by an exclusive afterparty at The Lobster Club.

The premiere kicked off with the screening of the first episode, where executive producer, writer, and showrunner Patrick Macmanus shared some opening remarks. The series regulars, including Michael Chernus, who plays the notorious serial killer Gacy, Gabriel Luna as Detective Rafael Tovar, and Marin Ireland, were all in attendance. Not to mention the guest stars like Colton Ryan, Cricket Brown, and many more.

From 1972 to 1978, 33 young men tragically met their end, being kidnapped, murdered, and buried in a crawl space beneath their killer’s house. What’s even more chilling is that the killer, Gacy, was a community leader who even entertained sick kids while dressed as a clown.

“Devil In Disguise: John Wayne Gacy” delves into the twisted layers of Gacy’s personal life, shedding light on the stories of his victims, the grief, guilt, and trauma of their families and friends, and the systemic failures and societal prejudices that allowed his reign of terror to continue.

If you’re intrigued by this bone-chilling series, mark your calendars because it’s set to debut on October 16. Stay tuned for more updates on this gripping docuseries.
