UNC Football Cancels Hulu Docuseries as Bill Belichick Fails in First Season

A planned Hulu docuseries featuring Bill Belichick’s first year as head coach at UNC has been canceled, as reported by Inside Carolina. This decision comes shortly after a disappointing 38-10 loss to Clemson on home turf for the Tar Heels.

Belichick, the 73-year-old Super Bowl-winning coach, had initially announced the docuseries in August. The program was set to provide an inside look at the UNC football program throughout the season, but now it will not move forward.

In an Instagram video from August, Belichick mentioned the high interest in the UNC football program and the upcoming series on Hulu. This announcement came after a deal for an NFL Films “Hard Knocks” series fell through.

Despite the buzz surrounding Belichick’s entry into college football and his publicized relationship with a younger partner, Jordon Hudson, the Tar Heels have struggled with a 2-3 record so far this season.

UNC kicked off the season with a tough 48-14 loss to TCU, followed by wins against Charlotte and Richmond. However, they have faced more losses recently, including the blowout defeat against Clemson that left the home crowd disappointed.

Looking ahead, the Tar Heels will face Cal on October 17. Meanwhile, reports from WRAL News have raised concerns about the program’s structure and organization, adding more drama to Belichick’s first season at UNC.
