Disney+ Homepage Refreshed as Hulu Expands Worldwide
Disney+ is gearing up for a big update next week that will bring some exciting changes to the streaming platform. The most noticeable update will be the integration of Hulu content, giving Hulu a more prominent presence on the platform. In the U.S., users can look forward to a new navigation bar at the top of the app, featuring tabs for “For You,” Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN, depending on your subscription.
International users will see a change as well, with Hulu replacing the Star brand tile for general entertainment programming. This change is set to take effect on October 8. The new homepage on Disney+ will feature an updated algorithm in the “For You” tab to offer more personalized recommendations. Additionally, a new “live” hub will provide easy access to live sports, news, and events, along with Disney+ linear streams.
The refreshed homepage will offer a more visual experience, with a video display in the “hero” carousel and poster-style imagery. Disney is also introducing tags like “Season Finale,” “New Series,” and “New Movie” to titles, making it easier for users to spot what’s new or noteworthy on the platform. Disney has confirmed that even more updates and enhancements are in the works, so stay tuned for further improvements to your Disney+ experience.
