Disney+ Renews Daredevil: Born Again for Season 3
Great news for Marvel fans! Daredevil: Born Again has officially been renewed for a third season on Disney+. This announcement comes straight from Brad Winderbaum, the head of streaming, television, and animation at Marvel Studios. Production is set to kick off in early 2026, making Born Again the first live-action Marvel series on Disney+ to go beyond two seasons.
Fans of the show can now breathe a sigh of relief after a bit of back-and-forth between stars Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio. Cox, who plays Matt Murdock, hinted that season 2 would be the end at a fan convention. But D’Onofrio (Wilson Fisk/Kingpin) was quick to clarify online that there was a “good chance” of a third season happening.
The first season of Daredevil: Born Again debuted on March 4, 2025, and was a massive hit, pulling in 7.5 million viewers in just five days. Critics and audiences loved the show’s darker tone and emotional depth, giving it an 87% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Season 2 is already in the works and is set to premiere in March 2026. The new season will bring back Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones and continue Jon Bernthal’s story as Frank Castle/The Punisher. Fans can also look forward to a special one-off Punisher TV event, co-written by director Reinaldo Marcus Green and starring Bernthal.
The star-studded cast of Daredevil: Born Again includes Margarita Levieva, Wilson Bethel, Zabryna Guevara, Nikki James, Genneya Walton, Arty Froushan, Clark Johnson, Michael Gandolfini, Ayelet Zurer, Deborah Ann Woll, and Elden Henson.
Dario Scardapane, known for his work on The Punisher, is serving as showrunner and executive producer for the series. The show’s episodes will be directed by Justin Benson & Aaron Moorhead, Michael Cuesta, Jeffrey Nachmanoff, and David Boyd. Executive producers for the show include industry heavyweights like Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, Sana Amanat, Chris Gary, and Christopher Ord & Matthew Corman.
