Futurama Season 13: Early Reviews and Insights

On Monday night, Season 13 of “Futurama” was released in its entirety on Hulu, breaking from the usual weekly release schedule. Fans seem to love it! IMDb’s user ratings show that three episodes from this season have ratings of 8.2 or higher, which is a significant improvement compared to previous seasons. In fact, Season 13 currently has an average rating of 7.6, on par with the show’s final season in 2013.

Critics are also giving Season 13 a thumbs up, saying it’s a return to form for the show. ScreenRant notes that most episodes are a welcome addition, with any weaker ones quickly forgotten as you move on to the next. According to Nick Valdez of ComicBook.com, “Futurama is more future-proof ready than ever before” with Season 13.

With Matt Groening still having one season left on his deal, fans can likely expect a Season 14 in 2026. Groening mentioned in a recent interview that the show’s 10-year hiatus has provided plenty of material for the writers, many of whom grew up watching the show. Looks like we’ll have plenty of Fry, Bender, Leela, and the gang to look forward to in the future!
