1974 Adaptation of Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express: Discovering New Audiences
An old favorite is making its way to Paramount+ for all the mystery lovers out there! The classic Agatha Christie tale, Murder on the Orient Express, originally released in 1974 and directed by Sidney Lumet, is now available for streaming on Paramount+.
Set in the 1930s on a journey from Istanbul to Paris, the story follows a luxury train stuck in a snowdrift with a murder onboard. Lucky for the passengers, the brilliant Detective Hercule Poirot, played by Albert Finney, is there to crack the case. The star-studded cast also includes names like Lauren Bacall, Sean Connery, and Ingrid Bergman, who won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress.
