Review of Netflix’s Top Show: “Untamed” – Honest Opinion
Recently, I finally got around to checking out Netflix’s latest hit series, ‘Untamed,’ and I have to say, I have some mixed feelings about it. With so many shows and movies in my streaming queue, I don’t often bump things up unless I’m really intrigued by the storyline. But the buzz around ‘Untamed’ was hard to ignore, so I gave it a shot sooner than expected.
Starring Eric Bana, Sam Neill, and Rosemarie DeWitt, the series follows federal agent Kyle Turner as he investigates a woman’s death in Yosemite National Park. Right from the first episode, there are plenty of clues to unravel the mystery.
As the story unfolds, we see a group of climbers stumble upon a gruesome discovery that sets the stage for Turner and the Investigative Services Branch to dive into the case. Initially dismissed as a suicide, Turner suspects foul play due to bloody prints and additional injuries on the victim. The introduction of Park Ranger Naya Vasquez leads to even more evidence pointing towards a violent crime, adding layers of complexity to the investigation.
At one point, the storyline took a turn that had me questioning the odds of such events happening one after the other. But as the episode progressed, I found myself drawn to the deeper elements of Turner’s character, particularly his interactions with the ghost of his deceased son. This added depth to the series and gave me a new perspective on grief and loss.
Despite some initial reservations, I’m intrigued to see where ‘Untamed’ goes next. While it may not be the most captivating series opener I’ve seen, there’s enough mystery and character development to keep me invested. ‘Untamed’ is now available for streaming on Netflix, and I’m looking forward to seeing how the story unfolds.
