Oswald The Lucky Rabbit: Jon Favreau Adds Three Starring Roles in Disney+ Series
The cast for the upcoming Disney+ series “Oswald the Lucky Rabbit” has been announced. According to Deadline, Ravi Cabot-Conyers, Mykal Michelle Harris, and Ryder Allen are set to star in the series created by Jon Favreau. Cabot-Conyers will play Jake, Harris will play Jen, and Allen will play Taylor, all middle school students who will bring the saucy, self-absorbed bunny to life in this live action/animated hybrid show.
First introduced in 1927 by Walt Disney, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit predates Mickey Mouse and has a long history with Disney. The character was featured in 27 animated shorts before Disney lost control to Universal in 1928. Disney later reacquired the trademark in 2006, bringing Oswald back into the spotlight with the Epic Mickey video game series. Now, Oswald is making his debut on Disney+ with this upcoming series.
Cabot-Conyers, known for their work in “Star Wars: Skeleton Crew” and “Encanto”, Harris from “Big Little Lies” and “Raven’s Home”, and Allen who recently appeared in “The Penguin” on HBO Max, are not strangers to Disney productions. All three young actors will have the opportunity to showcase their talent in this live-action/animated series.
