“Andor Finale Tops Streaming Ratings”
Andor has been a hit on Disney+, ranking as the number one overall show on Nielsen’s streaming charts. In the week of May 12-18, Andor racked up an impressive 931 million viewing minutes, with its final three episodes premiering on May 13. Week after week, the series continued to grow, adding 101 million minutes compared to the previous week. Notably, this marked the fourth consecutive week that Andor set a series high in viewing time.
Disney+ also secured the second spot on the charts with Bluey, which came in just behind Andor with 922 million viewing minutes. Additionally, Rogue One, a Star Wars movie that follows Andor chronologically, made it to the top 10 movies chart for the week, tying for ninth place with 179 million viewing minutes.
In other rankings, Netflix’s comedy The Four Seasons, previously the overall leader, dropped out of the top 10 but remained strong in the original series category with 549 million minutes. Hulu’s unscripted show The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives was the top premiere for the week, placing third among original series and ninth overall with 680 million viewing minutes.
Other notable entries included You, which held its ground in its fourth week following the final season debut on Netflix with 779 million minutes, and Peacock’s Poker Face, which maintained a steady total of 492 million minutes compared to its premiere week of 497 million minutes.
On the movies chart, Netflix’s Nonnas claimed the top spot for the second week in a row, amassing 848 million viewing minutes, an increase of about 11 percent from the previous week. It’s clear that viewers are engaging with a diverse range of content across various streaming platforms, making for an exciting and competitive landscape in the world of streaming entertainment.
