Rachel Zegler’s Snow White Now Streaming on Disney+
The live-action version of Disney’s beloved classic, Snow White, starring Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot, is set to arrive on Disney+ this week. After a tumultuous run in theaters that began on March 21, the film faced a variety of controversies over creative decisions and CGI dwarfs. Despite this, it will now be available for streaming on May 13.
The movie follows Snow White’s journey as she ventures into magical woods to escape her evil stepmother, the Evil Queen, and is joined by the iconic dwarfs — Bashful, Sleepy, Sneezy, Happy, Dopey, Grumpy, and Doc — to restore kindness to the kingdom. Rated PG, Snow White will premiere on Disney+ on Tuesday, June 11.
To watch the film, viewers will need to subscribe to Disney+, which offers both ad-based and ad-free plans ranging from $9.99 to $15.99 per month, or $159.99 per year. Additionally, Disney+ offers bundling packages with Hulu and Max for added convenience.
Critics gave the film a mixed reception, with a 40% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, while audiences had a more positive take with a 71% score. Snow White earned a total of $205.5 million worldwide at the box office, surpassing its $269.4 million production budget.
Directed by Marc Webb and featuring Andrew Burnap, the film is sure to provide a fresh take on this classic tale when it arrives on Disney+ this week.
