Daredevil Season 2: Born Again

Daredevil: Born Again Season 2: What We Know So Far

Daredevil: Born Again had a rocky start in Season 1, leading to some big changes in the creative team. Dario Scardapane took over as showrunner, with Aaron Moorhead and Justin Benson directing. Season 2 still has Scardapane at the helm, alongside Benson and Moorhead leading the directorial efforts.

The ratings for Season 1 were a mixed bag. While the premiere garnered 7.5 million views globally in its first five days, it didn’t quite hit the mark in U.S. Nielsen rankings. Critically, Born Again scored well, with an 8.1/10 on IMDb, 87% on Rotten Tomatoes, and a 69/100 on Metacritic. TVLine readers gave it a solid “B+” grade.

The plot for Season 2 picks up with NYC mayor Wilson Fisk’s controversial Safer Streets plan. Daredevil, alongside his newfound “army,” takes on the challenge of shutting down Fisk’s oppressive regime. Expect to see familiar faces like Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio return as Daredevil and Kingpin, with more of Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page.

Season 2 will also introduce new characters, including Krysten Ritter reprising her role as Jessica Jones. Matthew Lillard and Lili Taylor also join the cast, with Taylor playing the governor of New York.

The season will consist of eight episodes, a change from the previously announced 18. Filming began in early 2025, and while there’s no official premiere date yet, fans can expect Season 2 to hit Disney+ sometime in the near future. Stay tuned for more updates as production continues!
