Moana 2 Achieves 27.3 Million Views on Disney+ in Five Days

“Moana 2” has made a huge splash on Disney+ with 27.3 million views in just five days since its release. This makes it the third most successful Disney Animation theatrical film to grace the platform, following in the footsteps of the beloved original “Moana.”

Fans have been eagerly tuning in to see Auli’i Cravalho and Dwayne Johnson reprise their roles as Moana and Maui, creating the largest Disney Animation premiere since “Encanto.” The first “Moana” remains the most streamed film on Disney+ since its debut in 2019, with a whopping 1.4 billion hours streamed.

Originally intended to be a Disney+ television show, “Moana 2” made its theatrical debut on Nov. 28 and went on to earn over $1 billion at the worldwide box office. Directed by Dana Ledoux Miller, David G. Derrick Jr., and Jason Hand, this sequel features music from Abigail Barlow and Emily Bear, taking over from Lin-Manuel Miranda who wrote the songs for the first film. The star-studded cast includes Nicole Scherzinger and Khaleesi Lambert-Tsuda.

It’s clear that the adventures of Moana and Maui continue to capture the hearts of audiences around the world, solidifying their place in Disney Animation history.
