April 2025 TV Shows: Canceled and Renewed List

Exciting news for fans of Grey’s Anatomy, 9-1-1, The Rookie, and more! ABC has renewed some of our favorite dramas for another season. Grey’s Anatomy, the longest running primetime medical drama, will be returning for its incredible 22nd season, with Ellen Pompeo set to continue leading the way as Meredith Grey. Scheduled for 18 episodes, it’s sure to be another rollercoaster ride at Grey Sloan Memorial.

9-1-1, the thrilling first responder drama, has also been renewed for a ninth season on ABC, along with a new spin-off called 9-1-1: Nashville. Meanwhile, The Rookie, the must-watch cop drama, has been given the green light for an eighth season. And fans of Will Trent can rejoice, as the procedural is coming back for a fourth season filled with more Atlanta-based crime-solving.

If you’re a fan of animated sitcoms, Fox has got you covered with some incredible news. The Simpsons, Family Guy, Bob’s Burgers, and the always hilarious American Dad! have all been renewed for four seasons each. That’s right, four more seasons of laughs and adventures to look forward to!

On the streaming front, the Dexter prequel, Dexter: Original Sin, will be returning for a second season on Paramount+ with Showtime. Young Dexter Morgan’s story is just beginning, so get ready for more dark and twisted tales.
