Disney+ to launch ESPN content in Australia and New Zealand soon.
Disney+ is spreading the excitement of ESPN content to fans in Australia and New Zealand in the near future. This marks the first time that English-speaking markets outside of North America will get a taste of this sports-tastic addition, following its debut in the US in December 2024 and a launch in Latin America.
The ESPN hub on Disney+ is going to be a sports lover’s dream, offering up more than 10,000 hours of live sports action from ESPN, including live channels like ESPN and ESPN2, studio and archive programs, live events, and on-demand replays. Whether you’re a fan of SportsCenter, The Pat McAfee Show, NBA Today, or First Take, you’ll have plenty to choose from.
Good news for all Disney+ premium and standard subscribers in Australia and New Zealand – you’ll automatically have access to ESPN. And if you prefer to watch ESPN through other platforms, you’ll be able to catch it on Foxtel, Kayo Sport, Fetch TV, and Sky NZ.
Kylie Watson-Wheeler, Senior VP, Managing Director, and head of ESPN Asia-Pacific at The Walt Disney Company ANZ, expressed her excitement saying, “Sport on Disney+ is an innovative game-changer. It further enriches our already strong and unique content offering, boosts value for subscribers, and serves sports fans anytime, anywhere.” So get ready to cheer on your favorite teams and enjoy all the sports action you can handle on Disney+ with ESPN.
