Lioness and The Agency: Why I Cancelled Paramount+ for Now
I’ve been debating canceling my Paramount+ subscription for a while now. As much as I try to ignore the corporate drama and stick to enjoying great TV, the reality of paying for multiple streaming services is hitting hard.
I first got Paramount+ to watch Landman, a show that got a lot of buzz from The Ringer crew. The first season was a blast, but the second didn’t quite live up to it. Still, I found myself hooked on Taylor Sheridan’s shows like Mayor of Kingstown and Tulsa King. The star-studded casts kept me coming back for more.
While Yellowstone and its spin-offs didn’t grab my attention, Lioness did. It’s got the perfect balance of action and spy drama, and the top-tier actors like Zoe Saldaña and Nicole Kidman make it a must-watch for me.
Apart from Taylor Sheridan’s shows, Paramount+ has a mix of content—from Star Trek to UFC to reality TV. Star Trek: Starfleet Academy brought a fun twist to the franchise, but the news of its cancellation after one season was a letdown.
The Agency is another show keeping me on Paramount+. A gripping spy drama with an incredible cast led by Michael Fassbender, it’s a show I can’t get enough of.
With The Agency Season 2 starting soon and Lioness Season 3 around the corner, I’m holding onto my Paramount+ subscription for now. But come fall, it might be time to say goodbye unless they keep churning out more seasons of my favorites. Paramount+, you’ve been warned!
