Apple TV Models Not Getting tvOS 27 Update
If you’re a proud owner of an Apple TV HD from 2015 or the 1st Generation Apple TV 4K from 2017, here’s the lowdown: these devices won’t be getting the latest tvOS 27 update. That’s the big news from Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference this year. But don’t worry too much – your trusty old Apple TV pals can still run tvOS 26 and keep providing you with great content, including all your favorite Apple TV+ shows.
It’s not entirely surprising that Apple is shifting focus to newer devices. After all, technology moves pretty quickly, and streaming tech has come a long way since these models were first released. If you’re holding onto a 2nd or 3rd Generation Apple TV 4K, you’re in luck. These devices will be able to handle the tvOS 27 update just fine and will continue receiving new features and enhancements.
So, while older devices may not be getting the latest and greatest, they’ll still be serving up top-notch entertainment for the time being. And who knows what the future holds? Apple’s constantly evolving, so stay tuned for what’s next in the world of Apple TV.
