Streaming Ratings: ‘La Brea’ Soars to the Top on Netflix Chart

In the first week of May, “La Brea”, a former broadcast series that previously aired on NBC and is currently available on Peacock and Netflix, made a notable comeback in the streaming world. The series secured the top spot on the Nielsen streaming rankings with an impressive 1.28 billion minutes of viewing from May 4th to May 10th. Thanks to joining Netflix’s library on May 1st, the show experienced a 46% week-to-week increase, highlighting the impact of being available on a popular streaming platform like Netflix.

In the same period, “The Boys”, an Amazon Prime Video series, achieved a significant milestone by crossing the billion-minute threshold for the first time in the final season. Despite a slight dip from the previous week, the series maintained its popularity and clocked in 1.05 billion viewing minutes, showcasing its strong viewership numbers.

Netflix’s adaptation of “Lord of the Flies” debuted with a notable 565 million minutes of watch time. Additionally, a new season of “Worst Ex Ever” garnered 778 million minutes, demonstrating persistent viewer engagement. Prime Video’s “Citadel” made its return to the rankings with the premiere of its second season, attracting 438 million minutes, three years after its first season. Another newcomer, Peacock’s “MIA”, charted with 334 million minutes during its premiere week, indicating a promising start for the revenge drama.

“Townsville” also maintained its position in the top 10 original shows for three weeks after its season finale, with 417 million viewing minutes. On the movie front, animated adventure “Swapped” led the chart with 852 million minutes on Netflix. New original films including Netflix’s “Remarkably Bright Creatures” (696 million minutes) and Hulu’s “Send Help” (427 million minutes) secured the second and third positions, respectively.

It’s essential to note that Nielsen’s streaming rankings focus exclusively on viewing through TV sets and do not include viewership on computers or mobile devices. These rankings are specific to the U.S. audience and offer valuable insights into the most-watched streaming titles during May 4th to May 10th, 2026.
