2026 Supercross Championship Viewership Increases by 27% on Peacock

NBC Sports recently announced that their coverage of the 2026 Monster Energy AMA Supercross season delivered some impressive viewership gains and milestones. The season was the most-streamed on record, with unique viewership on Peacock up 27% compared to last year, and consumption exceeding one billion minutes faster than ever before.

In addition to breaking records for overall viewership, the 2026 season featured the two most-watched Supercross races ever on Peacock, including the races in Anaheim. This demonstrates the sport’s continuous growth in popularity and its dedicated fanbase.

The season finale in Salt Lake City on May 9 was a nail-biter, with veteran racer Ken Roczen winning his first career Supercross championship in a tight race against Hunter Lawrence. Roczen’s victory made him the oldest champion in Supercross history at 32 years old. Additionally, Cole Davies took home the win in the Dave Coombs Sr. 250SMX East/West Showdown.

Looking ahead, the 2026 Monster Energy SMX World Championship series will continue with the Pro Motocross season, kicking off at Fox Raceway National in Pala, Calif., on Saturday, May 30. The series unifies both disciplines of Supercross and Pro Motocross and will culminate in the SMX World Championship Playoffs and Final later in September.

NBC Sports’ dedicated pre-race show, Race Day Live, also saw a 9% increase in year-over-year growth, making it the most-watched season ever. Overall, the exciting 2026 Supercross season proved to be a thrilling and record-breaking one for fans and racers alike.
