FX Orders ‘Young Frankenstein’ Series, Bringing Classic Tale to Life

FX has given the green light to a new series inspired by the classic Mel Brooks film, Young Frankenstein. The show, Very Young Frankenstein, has been in the works for almost a year and was given a pilot order in September. The series will feature Zach Galifianakis, Dolly Wells, and Spencer House in leading roles.

Mel Brooks, the mind behind the original film, is serving as an executive producer for the series. Very Young Frankenstein will be available on FX and Hulu, so fans will have multiple ways to watch.

The pilot episode was written by Stefani Robinson, known for her work on Atlanta and What We Do in the Shadows, and directed by Taika Waititi. They will be executive producing alongside Garrett Basch, Mel Brooks, and others. The studio behind the show is 20th Television.
