Academy Award Nominee Andrea Riseborough joins ‘9/12’ cast for Paramount+

Academy Award Nominee Andrea Riseborough is set to star in an exciting new series for Paramount+ called 9/12. She will join Emmy and Tony Award winner, Oscar nominee, and executive producer Jeremy Strong in this six-episode limited series that uncovers the David vs. Goliath battle that brought justice to the ailing heroes of 9/11. The show will highlight a landmark case that fought for over $1 billion in compensation for first responders who fell ill after 9/11.

Riseborough will play “Molly,” the resilient wife of Coach, a former NYPD police officer and 9/11 first responder portrayed by Barry Pepper. Molly is deeply concerned about her husband’s health and family’s future, seeking help and hope in the legal expertise of Jason, played by Jeremy Strong.

9/12 is a powerful series that sheds light on the fight for accountability and the relentless legal battle that took nearly a decade to win justice for the brave emergency worker heroes of 9/11. The series is produced by Paramount Television Studios and SISTER, written and directed by Tobias Lindholm, and written and executive produced by Frank Pugliese.
