Apple and MLB August ‘Friday Night Baseball’ Schedule Announced
Apple and Major League Baseball have just released the August lineup for “Friday Night Baseball” on Apple TV. This weekly doubleheader will be streaming every Friday throughout the 2026 regular season in 60 countries. Subscribers can look forward to two exciting matchups each week without any local broadcast restrictions.
The August schedule promises thrilling games, including matchups between iconic rivals. On August 14, breakout star Jordan Walker and the St. Louis Cardinals will face off against three-time All-Star Alex Bregman and the Chicago Cubs. Then, on August 28, baseball fans can catch the New York Yankees hosting the Boston Red Sox in a battle of the titans.
Fans can also relive the exciting 2025 postseason run of the defending American League Champion Toronto Blue Jays on “Friday Night Baseball.” The Blue Jays will have a Division Series rematch against the Yankees on August 14 and a Championship Series rematch against Julio Rodríguez and the Seattle Mariners on August 28.
Throughout the month, viewers can expect to see top contenders like the Seattle Mariners and the Tampa Bay Rays on “Friday Night Baseball.” These teams will each make two appearances during August.
The “Friday Night Baseball” games will be called by broadcast teams including Wayne Randazzo, Dontrelle Willis, and Heidi Watney, as well as Alex Faust, Ryan Spilborghs, and Tricia Whitaker. Rich Waltz will also join the team for select games during the season. The pregame shows will be hosted by Lauren Gardner, former MLB player Eric Hosmer, and insider Russell Dorsey.
In addition to the games, fans in the U.S. and Canada can tune in to home and away local radio broadcasts during “Friday Night Baseball.” The production is a collaboration between MLB Network’s Emmy Award-winning team and Apple’s live sports production team, with the first game of each weekly doubleheader being presented by Essilor.
