They’ve just announced FreeCast Cities™, a brand new streaming platform designed specifically for each of the 210 television markets in the country. Currently in beta testing, FreeCast Cities™ brings together local TV, free streaming channels, premium services, on-demand shows, and subscription management all in one convenient place. No more switching between apps or accounts – with FreeCast Cities™, it’s “One City. One Login. All Your Television.”

Each FreeCast Cities™ market will have its own unique streaming destination, complete with local broadcast channels and tons of free content. The platform utilizes FreeCast’s Broadcast Enabled Streaming Technology (BEST) to ensure a seamless experience for users. Plus, with SmartGuide™, FreeCast’s universal discovery engine, you can easily browse live TV, streaming services, and on-demand shows all in one place. And with MediaPay™, you can handle all your subscription services in one account, making things simple and convenient.

One of the most exciting features is the addition of DIRECTV residential offers to the platform. This means eligible users can access premium live TV, sports, movies, and more over the internet without needing a satellite dish or extra hardware. Keep in mind that this is subject to service availability and provider requirements.

Rather than launching nationwide all at once, FreeCast will be introducing FreeCast Cities™ in a phased approach. They plan to roll out the platform city by city, starting with groups of one to three markets at a time.
