2026 Primetime Emmy Nominations Announcement

The 78th Primetime Emmy Awards nominations are in and the small screen is ready to shine! Liza Colón-Zayas and Jeff Hiller, previous winners of “The Bear” and “Somebody Somewhere,” announced this year’s contenders, celebrating the incredible talent in the television world.

Last year’s standout drama, “The Pitt,” racked up an impressive 25 nominations for its second season, leading the pack. Apple TV+’s sci-fi series “Pluribus” also made a splash with 18 nods for its debut season.

In the drama category, we have exciting contenders like the “Game of Thrones” spinoff “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms,” the thrilling “The Diplomat,” the suspenseful “Slow Horses,” and the captivating “The Gilded Age.” Jean Smart and Hannah Einbinder were recognized for their outstanding performances in HBO’s “Hacks,” receiving nominations for Outstanding Lead and Supporting Actress for the show’s fifth and final season.

On the comedy side, “Hacks” received 24 nominations and is set to make a mark at this year’s Emmys.
