Love Island USA Breaks Records with Biggest Premiere Week Streaming Ratings

Love Island USA is making a huge splash in its eighth season, with record-breaking premiere numbers that topped the Nielsen streaming charts for the week of June 1-7. The unscripted series, known for streaming new episodes six days a week, racked up an impressive 1.31 billion minutes of viewing time, a 69 percent increase from its 2025 premiere week.

According to Nielsen, Love Island USA drew most of its viewership, about 59 percent, from adults aged 18-34. These numbers are consistent with Peacock’s earlier report of 824 million viewing minutes in the first three days alone, including mobile viewing. It’s worth noting that Nielsen’s streaming ratings focus solely on TV screens.

In addition to Love Island, other popular streaming shows like Dutton Ranch on Paramount+ and Netflix’s The Four Seasons also saw solid viewing numbers. Dutton Ranch pulled in 840 million minutes in its fourth week on the charts, showing steady growth since its premiere. Meanwhile, The Four Seasons improved slightly from its season two premiere, as did Apple TV’s Your Friends & Neighbors, whose second season concluded on June 5.

On the flip side, The Boroughs, which topped the charts the previous week, experienced a significant drop of about 62 percent in viewing numbers. Love Island USA’s success signals a strong start to its new season, attracting a wide audience and solidifying its position at the top of the streaming charts.
