HBO Max Acquires ITV Queer Drama ‘Tip Toe’ for Distribution

HBO Max has scored a win by acquiring the rights to the ITV Studios’ new drama, “Tip Toe,” across 14 European countries, including Belgium, France, Germany, Spain, and more. Meanwhile, STARZ has taken on distribution in the U.S. and English-speaking Canada.

“Tip Toe,” created by Russell T Davies of “Doctor Who” and “Queer As Folk” fame, is a series that stars Alan Cumming and David Morrissey. The show follows the intertwined lives of Leo and Clive, neighbors in Manchester, whose relationship takes a dark turn, transforming them into bitter rivals in a gripping suburban thriller that challenges the notion of security and safety.

Presented as a five-part original series on Channel 4, “Tip Toe” is a product of Quay Street Productions, in collaboration with ITV Studios, which also oversees international distribution.
