Culpables & Fault Films Dominate Prime Video Originals Rankings, Securing Half of Top 10

The latest Prime Video viewing charts have been dominated by the English-language remakes of the Culpables movies and the Spanish-language originals. In total, there are five films, with three in Spanish and two in English, based on Mercedes Ron’s bestselling books. These young adult films have taken over the top 10 slots in the most-watched original films ranking for June 15-21.

In the Spanish films, Nicole Wallace and Gabriel Guevara play Noah and Nick in Culpa Mia, Culpa Tuya, and Culpa Nuestra, produced by Banijay’s Pokeepsie. On the other hand, Asha Banks and Matthew Broome take the lead roles in the English-language movies, with Your Fault: London ranking first and My Fault: London ranking third.

The success of the London films has sparked renewed interest in the Spanish movies, with Culpa Nuestra, Culpa Mia, and Culpa Tuya ranking sixth, seventh, and ninth respectively. Mercedes Ron expressed her excitement at seeing her films reach audiences worldwide and the positive response to the original versions.

While specific viewing figures are not released by Prime Video, the Culpables franchise has already surpassed 100 million viewers globally, making it Prime Video’s most-watched International Originals. Prime Video continues to invest in young adult content under Head of International Originals Nicole Clemens, with adaptations like Boys of Tommen and the ‘House of Ron’ dedicated to Mercedes Ron’s work.

As fans eagerly await news of a fourth movie after Ron’s latest book, ‘Culpa Vuestra’, Prime Video remains discreet about future plans. However, the undeniable success of the franchise ensures that more exciting content is on the horizon.
