Beloved 1960s Characters Return in Revitalized TV Spin-Off

Nostalgia alert! Saturday morning cartoons are bringing back a blast from the past with revamped episodes of the beloved Flintstones spin-off series, “The Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm Show.”

Originally airing in 1971 after the original Flintstones wrapped up its run in 1966, this animated series by Hanna-Barbera Productions follows Pebbles Flintstone and Bamm-Bamm Rubble as teenagers navigating high school life in Bedrock. Complete with a rock band called The Bedrock Rockers, this show is sure to bring back memories for fans of the classic Flintstones series.

Voiced by Sally Struthers and Jay North, with an ensemble cast that includes Mitzi McCall, Gay Hartwig, Lennie Weinrib, and Carl Esser, the show promises to be a fun trip down memory lane for viewers of all ages.

MeTV Toons is set to air the cartoon every Saturday at 11:30 a.m. ET. The series’ first episode, “Gridiron Girl Trouble,” aired on June 20, followed by “Putty in Her Hands” on June 27. In this episode, Pebbles showcases her artistic talents with Bamm-Bamm’s help to impress her rival Cindy.

With a total of 16 episodes in its 1971 season, “The Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm Show” was a hit back in the day and continues to captivate audiences with its timeless charm. The show was even incorporated into “The Flintstone Comedy Hour” in 1972.

The original Flintstones series, which ran from 1960 to 1966 on ABC, was groundbreaking as the first animated sitcom and the first cartoon to secure a primetime slot on television. Created by Hanna-Barbera, the show is set in a hilarious Stone Age world featuring the lovable Flintstone family, their neighbors, and their pets.
