Family Guy Spinoff ‘Stewie’ Expanding on Fox and Hulu
Fans of Family Guy have a lot to look forward to with the upcoming spinoff series “Stewie.” This animated comedy, created by Seth MacFarlane and Kirker Butler, has already received a two-season order from Fox and Hulu. The show is set to premiere during the 2027–2028 broadcast season, with episodes available for streaming the day after airing and internationally on Disney+.
“Stewie” will focus on the mischievous toddler Stewie Griffin as he navigates a new preschool after being expelled from his previous one. With an eccentric 75-year-old classroom turtle and a collection of bizarre inventions, Stewie takes his classmates on time-traveling and universe-crossing adventures, turning mundane school days into thrilling experiences.
The series joins Fox’s lineup of popular animated hits like American Dad!, The Simpsons, and Bob’s Burgers. These shows, along with Family Guy, have already secured four-season renewals, ensuring they will continue entertaining audiences through 2029.
Seth MacFarlane and Kirker Butler are excited to bring “Stewie” to life, with MacFarlane jokingly thanking Fox for the opportunity and Butler expressing gratitude for the trust placed in him. Fans can expect the same humor and wit that have made Family Guy a beloved series for years. Stay tuned for more updates on “Stewie” as we get closer to the premiere date!
