Gracie’s Corner: Preschool Hit Lands Streaming and Development Deal with Disney+
Disney has acquired the global streaming rights to the popular preschool series “Gracie’s Corner”! Inspired by their daughter Graceyn, Javoris Hollingsworth and his wife noticed a lack of Black characters in educational videos during the pandemic, so they created the series. Now, Disney will be developing new original content with the Hollingsworth family.
13-year-old Graceyn expressed her excitement about Disney being part of the show’s next chapter, saying, “Disney, Disney. The one that makes all the princess movies and everything.” The series will debut on Disney+ in the United States and select international markets on Monday, with 68 shorts and seven compilations available at launch. More content will be released globally throughout 2026.
Disney Jr.’s preschool lineup, which includes popular shows like “Bluey” and “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse,” will now feature “Gracie’s Corner.” President of Disney Branded Television, Ayo Davis, highlighted the connection the series has made with families by providing a joyful and enriching experience for children while meeting them where they are. This addition is sure to be a hit among young viewers!
