Season 2 Release Date and First Look of Batman Caped Crusader

IGN has exclusively revealed that Batman: Caped Crusader Season 2 will premiere on Prime Video on Friday, July 31, 2026. The highly anticipated second season will continue the unique, retro, film noir take on Gotham City, introducing new versions of beloved characters.

In Season 1, fans were treated to a different look at the iconic DC Comics characters, and Season 2 promises to delve even deeper into this moody stylistic approach. Spoiler alert: the Joker, teased at the end of Season 1, will indeed make an appearance in Season 2.

Our exclusive image gallery gives a sneak peek at the new incarnations of familiar villains such as Edward Nygma/Riddler, Scarecrow, and Mad Hatter. Prime Video has confirmed that Roxy Rocket, a character from The New Batman Adventures, will also join the lineup. Additionally, Carrie Kelley, DC’s first female Robin from The Dark Knight Returns, will be introduced in Season 2.

While the voice actors for these roles have not yet been announced, returning cast members include Hamish Linklater as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Jamie Chung as Harley Quinn/Harleen Quinzel, and more. Executive producers J.J. Abrams, Matt Reeves, and Bruce Timm are back for Season 2, along with other talented producers.

IGN’s Erik Adams gave Season 1 a solid 7 out of 10, praising the series for its mature storytelling of Bruce Wayne and Batman’s journey together. Fans can look forward to more intrigue, suspense, and fresh takes on classic characters when Batman: Caped Crusader Season 2 hits Prime Video this summer.
