Dewayne Perkins Comedy Series in Development for Hulu
Comedian and actor Dewayne Perkins is working on a new comedy series for Hulu that’s all about dating by jury. Imagine having all your relationship choices decided by a group vote—sounds intriguing, right? The show features the “chaotically gay Denny” and his best friend, straight-laced Nelson, as they navigate the ups and downs of love and life in their 30s.
Dewayne not only stars in the series but is also writing and executive producing it. You might recognize him from Apple TV’s “The Studio”, as well as shows like “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” and “The Blackening”. Joining him as executive producers are Stephen Curry, Erick Peyton, and Sharla Sumpter Bridgett via Unanimous Media.
While we don’t have many details about the project yet—like the cast or filming schedule—there’s still a lot of excitement surrounding it. Keep in mind that with any show in development, things can change, from the storyline to the team behind the scenes.
