Canadians Celebrate as UFC and Paramount+ Announce End of PPV Events in 2027

Canadian UFC fans have something to celebrate! Starting in 2027, you won’t need to dish out extra cash for pay-per-views to watch numbered events. The U.S. has been enjoying this perk with Paramount+ since early 2026, but Canadians have been stuck paying $80 every month to catch the big fights through UFC Fight Pass or cable.

But fear not! UFC CEO Dana White announced that, starting in January 2027, Paramount+ subscribers in Canada will have access to every UFC Numbered Event main card live, without any additional charge. It’s a game-changer that makes it easier for Canadian fans to catch all the action.

As someone who has been forking over $80 per event, I’m excited to join in on the Paramount+ experience. Even major events like the one on June 14th at the White House are pay-per-view in Canada for now. But the future looks bright.

Whether you’ll get pay-per-views included in your Paramount+ subscription depends on existing deals the UFC had with broadcast partners in your country. Currently, the U.S. and Latin America are covered, Canada is up next in 2027, and who knows, your country could be next in line.

This Paramount/UFC deal means Paramount has first dibs on international broadcast rights deals, and they are making a serious push to secure global UFC rights as they become available.

Exciting times ahead for Canadian UFC fans, as we look forward to a future without the burden of expensive pay-per-views!
