HBO Max announces pricing for New Zealand ahead of June 16 debut

HBO Max is gearing up to launch in New Zealand by the middle of this month, and they’ve just unveiled their pricing plans for Kiwi viewers. The service is set to kick off with a special introductory rate of $10.99 per month for the first six months of their standard plan. After that initial period, the price will shift to $15.99 per month.

Entertainment guru Dominic Corry points out that HBO content on Neon was a hit with subscribers, so it’s a bit up in the air as to what will happen to Neon now. Neon also produces local content, which is a unique feature that might be missed if all the premium HBO titles move to HBO Max. It’s tough to say if HBO Max plans to create local content in New Zealand in the near future, but for now, it’s all about the exciting launch coming up.
